Today is a good day

For some.

Today I started on the second illustrated draft of the not-kid's book I will finish as soon as I learn how to be a layout artist. Interesting the use of fonts - or not-use. How a book can tell a story without words.

Saw the sunrise over the ocean this morning - which wasn't hard because both the sun and I got out of bed at 5 past six. Nice of the sun to wait for me.

Strangely enough it (the sun) was exactly the same colour as the setting sun in a Clarice Beckett painting I saw at the gallery opening last night. Odd how art effects real life. Some kind of resonance I expect.

Should be a hot summer. That's what the three new goldfish told me. Don't ask what happened to the other ones....
