The Second Scary

Hello thank  you to everyone who commented on my last post. Your comments made me keen to work with the scarecrow a little more. Thank you to those who suggested that as well. You know who you are :)

The Scarecrow is a bit weird really. He keeps telling me his name is 'Ralph' - and that he is not really a scare crow, just a poor chap from Tasmania who cannot afford the right brand of conditioner.

Ralph

I ask you.... what were his parents thinking?

Hmm ....."The Adventures of Ralph The Scarecrow - The Musical!".

To be honest, it does have a ring to it. I can see it in lights. And on Broadway - and in the remainder bin of our local K-Mart.

Just having a small joke. :) I've always wanted to write a musical. I am already humming the theme song. And already I can see Ralph in my minds eye, tap dancing across a spot-lit stage, putting his partner, Fred Astaire, to shame.

Of course there's only a minor problem in that Ralph can't dance. Neither can he sing.

And Fred Astaire is  currently 'unavailable'.
Thank you for looking. :)

  1. You can tell Ralph to use Aussie shampoo and conditioner. It´ll do wonders for him! It sure did for me. I can´t guarantee it of course, my hair is brown, I don´t know if it works just a well with yellow hair. But it might be worth a try ;-)
You got some really interesting skeletons there. I hope you bring some of them to life in future pictures...

  6. Andrew, so sorry. I did not realize that you could not see the images. It's like were discussing the emperor's new clothes. I fixed it. Thanks to Bella for pointing it out.

  7. ha, I love Mita's comment. This is wonderful, of course. I love the scarecrow and that is one scary skull. All I can think of is what was it before it was skeleton and I am glad I've never run into what ever it was. Happy Halloween Andrew! Do you celebrate Halloween in OZ? Myles is giving out candy tonight. He's dressing as Max from where the wild things are. It's too cute :)

    Yeah, that's pretty scary.
Maybe he'll do a little song and dance routine to Tiptoe Through the Rib Bones, or I Left My Heart, Lungs and Spleen in San Francisco!
Hope you had a fun Halloween. :)

  10. This is a gorgeous picture. One of the things I really like about it is how it's so uniform tonally. It's a much shallower space that most of your things that I've seen, and these characters blend in beautifully with it. And it's so full of creepy, half-realized things--things we don't really WANT to see, but alas, there they are. I especially like the scarecrow....uh....Ralph....
